About the event
Have you ever heard of ‘microsystem’? Microsystems are miniaturized (silicon or polymer) devices which perform electrical and non-electrical functions: typically sensing and actuation. In this swiftly advancing era, microsystems have been incorporated in a spectrum of areas from material sciences, biology, chemistry, physics, medicine, and engineering.
SOS (skills oriented sessions) of UTokyoinspire, is now launching it’s very first lecture series about microsystem to give you a glance of how microsystems works. We are honoured to have associate professor Agnes Tixier-Mita from the Research Center for Advanced Science and Technology (RCAST), UTokyo to be our guest speaker and to deliver two lectures and one practical session about microsystems. If you are interested to know more about microsystems, interested in using microsystems in your own research or If you hope to fabricate a microfluidic devices with your own hands, come and join us!
-Date/time
First lecture:
Introduction to microsystems (22nd, Nov 18:00 -19:30)
